About Hale Moe U`hane

When our vacation came to a close, a pact was made to someday own our own house on Moloa`a Bay, Kauai. Hale Moe U`hane (Hawaiian for 'dream house') became our vacation home in 1995.

The first anniversary of our home was celebrated with a traditional Hawaiian house blessing performed by an ordained minister of Hawaiian descent with the hope that the spirit of Aloha would embrace all those who visit.

Moloa`a Bay offers one of the few secluded beaches on Kauai with only a few homes, two miles off of the highway, through a tropical forest, at the end of a country road.  Overlooking the pristine Moloa`a Bay, the ocean-front pole house is situated on Kauai's north shore just steps away from the beach.  The cottage is located approximately fifteen minutes south of Princeville and ten minutes north of Kapa`a.

Hale Moe U`hane sits on a secluded beach at the end of a country road surrounded by Kauai's lush tropical gardens.  The interior of the house is comfortably decorated with influences of the island. Unobstructed, panoramic views from the wraparound lanai exhibit Moloa`a Bay's peaceful, white-sand beach and Kauai's emerald green, misty mountains.  If you enjoy laid-back, sunny days in seclusion, Moloa`a Bay is for you.

Amenities at Hale Moe U`hane

We spend as much time as possible at Hale Moe U`hane and have equipped it with all of the amenities of our mainland home.

The non-smoking, two-bedroom, one-bath house sits high on poles and affords unobstructed views of the pristine bay and the majestic mountains from the spacious, wraparound lanai.

The living room and dining/kitchen area face the ocean. The patio door from the living room leads you onto the wrap-around lanai which encircles the entire house. On the Lanai there are lounge chairs to relax in with your morning coffee as the sun comes up and a teak dining table to enjoy an evenings meal under the moonlit sky.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed with bedside nightstands, closet, a ceiling fan a two large windows to circulate the evening breezes. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a nightstand and ceiling fan. The master bedroom and second bedroom directly connect to the restroom.

If you enjoy cooking, you'll love the kitchen, which is equipped to enable any gourmet to express their talent. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave and just about everything else that you might need. Several local favorite restaurant cookbooks sit on the shelf. This is our home away from home, and we'd like all those who visit to enjoy it as much as we do.
